Hearty Fruit and Oat Smoothie

Here is a great smoothie for beginners. It tastes delicious and is easy to make, while being both filling and nutritious! All you need is a blender and a few fresh ingredients!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup quartered strawberries

  • 1 sliced banana

  • 1/4 cup raw almonds

  • 1/2 cup uncooked old-fashioned oats

  • 1 cup low-fat yogurt

  • 1 teaspoon maple syrup (you can also use honey or pure stevia)

Directions:

  1. Toss into blender.

Notes: As an option, you can top with 1/4 cup chopped nuts, such as almonds or walnuts, for a more filling meal.
